Bio-Rad Electroporation Cuvettes

Electroporation of bacteria

The Bio-Rad 0.1mm electroporation cuvettes have a square brown lid and slide easily in the Gene Pulser II from Bio-Rad. Other manufacturers offer 0.1mm cuvettes with round lids that will get stuck in the narrow electroporation chamber. Electroporation efficiency is excellent and we even use them for transformation of small eukaryotic cells. Sturdy design allows the cuvettes to be re-used many times, although for obvious reasons this is not recommended by the manufacturer.
