SAB Member, Dana Perkins, a graduate student in the University of Maryland School of Medicine has won a national award for her discovery of a protein that may lead to treatments of nerve disorders including Parkinson's disease and Down's syndrome and the construction of a vehicle for its safe and effective delivery to the brain.
