Help disaster victims in Japan!
Posted 3/15/2011

The Science Advisory Board is deeply saddened and concerned for the millions of people affected by the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami affecting Japan and the Pacific regions. In the devastating aftermath, the Japanese people and others throughout the Pacific need our help as relief efforts continue. At a time of such crisis, the SAB hopes that our members worldwide will come together as a community to help the people affected by this tragedy.

In order to make it easy for our members to donate directly to the relief effort, we have added a monetary donation option to our rewards catalog in the amount of $25 and $100. This will allow our members to use accumulated ViewPoints to donate directly to the American Red Cross' Japanese Quake and Pacific Tsunami Relief Efforts.  Every bit of your contribution will help The American Red Cross in continuing their efforts to provide medical care and relief assistance to the survivors.

About the American Red Cross:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
