SAB NewsSAB Members Donate over $ 55,000 to Charity in 2010!Posted 11/5/2010 ![]() Many of you choose to donate your ViewPoints and other earned honoraria to charitable organizations – an option in the SAB’s Rewards Catalog as well as within each survey invitation. We are proud to offer this option to our members, as a simple and effective way for each of you to make a meaningful contribution to great causes – all by sharing your opinions! We are honored to announce that our members have donated over $55,000 in 2010 to the various charities! Specifically, you have donated $10,608 to the American Red Cross, $3,469 to Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association, $27,464 to Doctor’s Without Borders, and $14,137 to UNICEF. Together these donations total an astonishing $55,687. After the Haiti Earthquake in January, The Science Advisory Board asked our members to donate their ViewPoints as an easy way to contribute to the Haiti Relief efforts. This special effort resulted in nearly $4,800 in donations spread amongst the American Red Cross's Haiti Relief and Development Fund, UNICEF’s Relief Efforts for Children in Haiti, and Doctors Without Borders' Emergency Relief Fund. Please look for future opportunities to contribute to these charities in the future. Together we can make a huge difference!
