Stem Cell Culture Products and Related Technologies Study

The Science Advisory Board is developing a study to explore the cell culture needs of stem cell researchers.

After the Bush administration's decision to grant federal funding to stem cell researchers using already existing cell lines, most discussions have focused on the ethical issues surrounding this decision. Very little attention has been paid to the researchers who are working with the cells, and the technology that is associated with this research.

Therefore, this study will examine the kinds of cells and methods used to conduct this exciting research. It will also explore what types of new technologies would benefit those working in this rapidly evolving field.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Molly Scott at m.scott@scienceboard.net.
