Study on Protein Science and Proteomics

As science explores the new frontier of large-scale protein expression and protein function, the secrets to understanding the complex biology of living systems will begin to be revealed. This tremendous knowledge can then be harnessed into accelerating the development of diagnostic and therapeutic drugs and protocols. The key to the success of this research depends on advances in the studies of protein-protein interactions, quantification and comparisons of protein expression, annotated proteomic databases for human and other cell types, and protein function methodologies.

On September 4, The Science Advisory Board launched its examination of "The Tools and Techniques of Protein Science: Catalyzing the Future of Proteomics." We are excited to have begun this study and start to discover which techniques and methods scientists are using in their research, the products and technologies in need of improvement and possible future directions of the field. We will keep you updated on the progress of this critical study and urge all of our qualified members to participate.

The Science Advisory Board is the world's original professional network of life scientists.

Members of the SAB:

  • Connect with other scientists.

  • Find tips, methodologies and procedures from established researchers.

  • Share insights, stories, jokes and even "gripes" in an open environment.

  • Voice opinions on companies and products used in their work.

  • Earn generous rewards for their opinions.

Practicing life science researchers and medical professionals participate in The Science Advisory Board's studies, forums, news articles and social media channels.
